Hello.
Since I was little, I always wanted to get into game dev. However, not having any knowledge in programming in general has always stood in my way.
Now that I've grew up, I feel I'm ready to start.I just need some guidance :D
Maybe some links, tutorials, videos, books.Anything useful will be appreciated!
Please note that I have no prior experience in anything(none).
Thanks !
I have new to programming. I have just completed codecademy.com python .. what to do next ?? Any suggestion
Game Development, the first inspiration for someone to learn programming, like mine.
I would like you all to introduce yourself and include in what parts do you specialize at and probably your tools and language of choice.
Here goes mine,
Hi, I am Kuntal, I started research on game dev when I was in 6th grade but sadly didn't have the skills, well time passed, in the meantime tried dozens of game engines, gone through syntaxes of many languages but failed to learn any properly. Now 6 years later, I have a bunch of unfinished projects, gathering dust in the labyrinth of file system. Lack of a team and moreover skills I cant complete any of them, anyway you can count me as a 2D Artist and a featherweight programmer, I love to work with Inkscape, Photoshop, sometimes dab with Blender and Mari for 3D works and can take up any language as far as it is not esoteric.
Happy Developing
Godot provides a huge set of common tools, so you can just focus on making your game without reinventing the wheel. Godot is completely free and open source under the very permissive MIT license. Your game is yours, down to the last line of engine code. No strings attached, no royalties, nothing.
