Quick roundup of some of the changes on Commonlounge this week:
- New floating reply input box on desktop: One of the most requested features so far! Now you don't have to open multiple tabs if you want to refer to the discussion while typing out your reply. Try it out below to check it out!
- Better sharing tools: We've made it easier to copy a link to the discussion/reply from feed right next to liking and sharing on Facebook/Twitter options. Also, we added these sharing options in the Share/Add participants/Add members modals for discussions and communities.
- Better transitions on mobile: We added some transition animation magic so that when you open a discussion from the feed, you get visual feedback of moving through to the next page. We still have a lot of work to do with animations to make the site/app feel more responsive and usable (and awesome!)
- Better way to get to a community from the discussion page: A common behavior once you're done with a discussion is to be able to see more in the community in which the discussion was posted. So we made that easier by adding links to the community both at top and bottom of the main discussion page.
We love adding these high-value but very-quick-to-implement features which make the product a lot more usable for everyone! If you have any ideas, or things you find yourself struggling with, please let us know by hitting reply below :)
