Hello there! Just wanted to pin this note to welcome you to AR community on Commonlounge. There are two major reasons we started this community:
Q&A Sessions: Q&A Sessions are a really good way for a community to learn from the industry insiders, and get their thoughts on where they see the space moving. It's also a good way for founders, designers and engineers on the front lines to talk about their experiences building AR experiences. Commonlounge supports native Q&A Sessions per community. Also, the process of tagging every reply makes it easy to filter later on, leading to a better consumption experience. We plan to bring in about one guest a week.
Curation: Invite-Only nature of the community means that only the accepted members can start top level discussions, and we will enforce the posting rules that require you to add value to the community when you post - i.e., anything you share has to be accompanied by a small 200 word summary of the article/tool being shared, or at least a short write-up on what makes it interesting for the space (think what The Hustle does for everyday news.) Most other online communities end up with barely any quality or thoughtfulness in posted content, and we would rather have just two high quality discussions per week than have 12 low quality links posted every day :)
That's pretty much it! Don't forget to share a link to this community with your friends who are also into AR wherever you hang out with them - Slack, Twitter, FB Groups etc. Hopefully we can have this space as our place to help each other out, host some amazing industry insiders for Q&A Sessions and stay updated with the latest!
