Artificial intelligence used to identify skin cancer
Early detection could likely have an enormous impact on skin cancer outcomes. Computer scientists at Stanford have created an artificially intelligent diagnosis algorithm for skin cancer that matched the performance of board-certified dermatologists.
It's not long now that Deep Learning becomes even more prevalent in medicine. Personalized and preventative medicine is going to be one of the biggest shifts in the next decade and DL algorithms will be right at the forefront sifting through and making sense of all the data.
