Watched The Lobster and was curious to hear other people's interpretations of it! It has a ton of symbolism; not surprising given that the director/screenwriter is Greek. In interviews, he doesn't like to dig deep into interpretations so I figured this would be a good place to do that.
The overarching theme is critical, mocking society for vilifying singlehood, framing dating preferences as warring camps, etc. But I didn't really get a lot of the rest, like the daily hunts, blindness, digging graves, etc. Anyone else who's seen it?
