For a while the scientific community has been remarkably skeptic about simply the possibility of the technology, yet uBeam and investors (many of which seem to have thrown in money without doing any proper due diligence) insist that they have managed to achieve the technology.
My thoughts are that an extremely crude, initial prototype was built and presented to VCs/angels, leading to their insane seed round. But when they brought in new talent they simply realized what they wanted to build was not physically possible, and now they've changed direction?
Anyhow, I'm curious as to when they plan on launching. It's been a long long time since they first received backlash and criticism continues to accumulate without any proper response from the backers.
