I revisited episode 5 last night, and one thing kinda made me think in that scene (Dolores being analysed by Ford). He leaves the room, after "No, I wouldn't say that at all", and Dolores says out loud "He doesn't know. I didn't tell him anything". She must be speaking to Arnold, who she believes is still alive, right? At that point she still hasn't reached the church/maze, and has no recollection of her murdering Arnold - but why is she speaking out loud? Does she believe Arnold can hear her? Is she replying to ancient command ("never talk about me, or my voice, to Ford") or is that communication live? Is Arnold dead, or we're just made to believe that, that's my real question. Could he be alive, and listening, while everyone believes he died so many years ago?
